Unemployed

Someone once said that music is created as much by the notes as it is by the rests. I am officially done with my job as of last Saturday, and day 2 of unemployment feels pretty good. I'm living a pause right now. Similar to a fast--a time to retune and readjust my lifestyle and make sure I am making time for the things that are really important to me. As my friend Lynn said, this is the time to discover what it is that makes life rich and juicy and fulfilling and satisfying to ME. And it might not be the same thing as for everyone else.

My day:

woke up
read in bed
went for a jog on the lakefront
ate breakfast
walked to the farmers market
ate lunch of farmers market purchases
pruned my plants
siesta
prepared picnic contribution
open air movie in Kingsbury park downtown with picnic dinner

I am resetting my dials, alright. So in case you are dying to ask, no, I don't have a plan yet. I'm just pausing and enjoying life.
