Major Surgery

Elinore is learning what it means to take care of her things. We've told her, "You have to be gentle with this baby doll because she is made of glass and can break." I guess you just have to figure things out for yourself. Yesterday she threw her baby from the stairs and she landed on the wood floor shattering one of her hands. Elinore cried and cried, but it was too late. I gave her the option of cutting off her hand and sewing up her arm or throwing her away. She decided, "one hand is not so bad."

So today her baby had an amputation and is being nursed back to health by a very attentive nurse.

On another note: Whenever we eat a meal Elinore likes to pretend that she is Aunt Loulou. I am Grandma B., Kevin is Grandpa B., and Tobin is...Aunt Caity.
Thought you'd get a kick out of that.

I'm Tobin. What's the message there?

Hahaha well you did claim him before he was born so maybe it's fitting...I'm glad she went with the amputation as opposed to tossing her out, important life lesson I think.
